The Past, Present, and Future of Kawasaki Motorcycles
It was back in 1963 when Meguro Manufacturing Company merged with Kawasaki to form the Kawasaki Motorcycle Co. Ltd. The first-ever motorcycle manufactured by Kawasaki was the B8 125cc, a motorbike with a 2-stroke engine. During the 70s, they introduced the H1R500, H2 750 (a 750cc air-cooled motorcycle), Z1900, H2R, and KR750. In 1980, Kawasaki brought in the Z1000H – the first fuel-injected motorcycle manufactured by Kawasaki, which laid the foundation of future fuel-injected Kawasaki motorcycles. In the 1990s, Kawasaki went all-in with the mighty ZZR 1100 (the world’s fastest motorcycle then), KX500 in the dirt bike segment, and VN800 in the Cruiser class motorcycles. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R was designed for supremacy in 2004 and was established as the most extreme liter-class SuperSports machine of its time. Post-2010, they introduced the Ninja ZX-10R, ZZR 1400, Z1000, and the mighty Ninja H2-H2R in 2015. The H2 and H2R are icons in the motorcycle world and remain in a class of their own. The future looks brighter than ever as there is not no stopping the Kawasaki brand as they keep striving for excellence and innovation with their amazing R&D team.
